Traditionally, it was believed that if you folded 1000 origami crane’s, your wishes would come true. It is also a symbol of hope and healing during challenging times it’s called ‘senbazuru’.

The Kitsune Collection is inspired by ERIKA’s heritage and is based on Japanese folklore the 14 Kitsune spirits. Each song will be connected with the characteristics of the “kitsune spirits” which is also tied into the human experience.

A Thousand Paper Cranes, the second single is based on Umi 海 the ocean spirit. A song about hope. This song is based on an IVF journey lasting over 10 years and the hope that can still be found after so much loss and grief.
